Two men who are worlds apart find that they may have more in common than they think. Artie is a plumber and lives deep in the closet while Francois is a famous pianist and openly gay. Yet Francois plays beautiful music that calls to Artie. The two are drawn together and begin a tentative friendship but both long for more but each man thinks that they have nothing to offer the other and that they are not worthy. When push comes to shove will the two find a way to be together or will Artie ad Francois give up on what they could be?

Francois and Artie’s story is a beautiful listen. The two men must deal with their own problems in order to try a future with each other. As the two figure out just how they fit together they must also deal with overbearing fans and an overbearing mother. The two men are good together and help to build and hold one another up. Their story is full of emotions and well-defined characters. I loved the way Artie comes to Francois’s defense and the way Francois builds up Artie; seeing more than just a man who works in manual labor. As opposite as the two men are, they connect so easily and the love that develops between them shines through on everything that they do.

Narrator Ry Forest brings this world and its characters to life nicely. I was quickly engrossed in Francois and Artie and their world as I listened.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
