Kevin ‘Vi’ Connelly is a serious female and a committed romantic. It all started when she was six years old and carried a basket of petals at her Aunty’s wedding. The attention, the princess wedding dress, the sparkles, she’s been snared by the Best Day of Your Life. Now, at twenty-seven she has a closet full of bridesmaid’s dresses she’ll never wear again, an empty bank account from paying for it all and the illusion of matrimony is fading. She sees her friends and acquaintances marry and attend eleven weddings in eighteen months. She needs to sort things out with her untrustworthy boyfriend and family issues that have left her confused. She’s discovered everything she never wanted to know about weddings and more than she ever imagined about love. Her own adventure is about to start.

This is a very entertaining story that had me giggling in many places. Kerry Reichs writes some great characters and some very witty dialogue. This is the story of a woman’s look at love and marriage and the decisions she finally makes for herself when she finds her true love. I had only a couple of complaints about this story. Firstly, it was a tad too long in my opinion. I could only take so much of all the wedding stories and chit chat between the friends. Secondly, I found myself skipping pages towards the end when Vi finally found her man to see how things would progress with them. Again, there were more marriages and stuff in-between their meetings. But, I loved the use of movie titles to describe Vi’s situations and I did enjoy this story.
