Drew Lawson is back in Wayback after leaving to join the army a long time ago. The town hasn’t changed too much, just gotten a bit bigger and everyone is welcoming him with open arms. He doesn’t feel like the hero though after what he’s been through with the Army. Annie Zykov has had a crush on him since she was a child and now, when she sees him there is something more than just a crush. Drew is attracted to the cute Annie, but he is still haunted from his past and Annie needs to do some serious seduction to get him to open up. Hopefully she can help him to face his future and bring him to the point where his past no longer troubles him.
Cindy Spencer Pape knows how to write a sensuous, heart warming story that will warm you and thrill you. She writes characters that make their way into your heart and stay there and a romance that will curl your toes and give you very good feelings. Wayback is in Texas, and this story is full of the ambiance and flavour of Texan life. As Annie reaches out to Drew and offers him her heart, the reader will be captured by the romance and the love story between these two special people. This talented author knows how to serve up a yummy story with characters that will stay with you after the story is over. I can recommend this story and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
