Kell Jameson made something of herself and became a successful lawyer. She hurries back to her little hometown when Eliza, the woman who raised Kell, needs her help. Eliza is suspected to have killed a drug dealer. When she encounters the local Sherriff, Luke, it’s attraction on the first sight, but with the situation with Eliza, she can’t really open up to him, plus she discovers something big during her search for evidence to prove Eliza’s innocence.
This book is an action filled, romantic suspense thriller that will not only catch the interest of the fans of the genre, but will also bring new readers to the author, like me. RECKLESS is my first book by Ms. Montgomery, but definitely not the last. There is a good balance between the romance, police investigation and courtroom events, so that it never gets boring for the reader.
I couldn’t put this book down once I started, because I was absolutely caught up in the plot and I just wanted to see how story progresses. I am so curious how the story of Luke and Kell continues. Did I mention that I don’t like cliff-hanger endings?
RECKLESS is the first book of a new trilogy and the story of Luke and Kell will continue.
If you are looking for a good romantic suspense book and have no problem with cliff-hangers then this is the perfect book for you. So go to the next bookstore and get your own copy.
