Poor Cupid. He is doomed to pull Santa’s sleigh. What you say? Yep, Cupid is a reindeer, cursed by a witch when he made a practical joke. Santa took pity on him and took him in. The only way to break the curse is for Cupid to fall in love, but that doesn’t seem possible as he is only seen as a reindeer.

Mercy Devers lives as a recluse. She survived a fire that killed her parents but left her scarred and disfigured on one side of her face. Ashamed, she stays inside only to venture out in the night when no one is about. Then one Christmas Eve, as she walks alone around the town, she finds an ice sculpture. An ice sculpture of a reindeer. The reindeer is so life-like and beautiful she is in total amazement and has to touch it.

Hot and erotic, this story will melt any ice that may be in the vicinity, but also very heartwarming as two unlikely people meet and fall in love. Sierra Dafoe is in my opinion an author who is going places. She writes tight, erotic stories with characters that leap off the pages. She also knows how to draw the readers into the story and give the story the right amount of emotion to capture not only the reader’s attention, but also their hearts. I’ve read quite a few of this author’s books and have enjoyed every one of them. This is no exception. Cupid sure has some lessons to learn, but then so does Mercy. My heart surely warmed as this poor, disfigured woman found the man who could love her anyway. Yes, another great Christmas story to warm you on a cold winter night.
