THE POWERS OF LOVE is a great story about new loves, strange powers and a connection between partners that goes beyond the heart. This is the first book of J. M. Snyder’s series that I read and thoroughly enjoyed the beginning of Vic and Matt’s love story. I was really into the way these two main characters connected from the start and this author definitely delves into their heart and souls as they connected in all ways and then some.

Meet Vic Brauson, a man with a bald head and many tats who drives the city bus routes every day. A chance meeting at a local gym has him almost acting like a teenager with a crush. Then months later he reconnects with Matt and man, the heat gets turned up and frankly, by the time these two characters came together and consummated their relationship, I was ready to combust from all the sexual tension between them. Each character is sweet and multi-layered. They definitely give the reader a chance to grow with them and to explore the beginnings of a new relationship. They click with the reader and you find them haunting you after the last page is read.

With the beginning of J. M. Snyder’s series, THE POWERS OF LOVE is a delight to read and it definitely captures the readers’ imagination with witty comments, tight writing and a fast pace that will keep you guessing at what happens next for these two as well as what the heck is happening to Vic. I highly recommend this book to enjoy on a cold snowy night as the twists and turns plus hot steamy sex scenes keep you warmed up and engrossed for hours. I look forward to reading the continued adventures of Matt and Vic in the following books from JM Snyder. This is definitely on my “to keep” pile now.
