Lily is a succubus and one of Satan's Chosen. This means she can enjoy a life that is filled with all the good things and enjoy the friendship of some great supernatural pals. She has a good job with a fashion magazine, and if it weren't for one of her co-workers, it would be perfect. But she has plans for that particular co-worker and at the same time hopefully to close the rift between the Succubi and Incubi. Nathan Coleman, the one human she had fallen in love with, ran when he found out what she actually is. But now she has to work together with him again and the flame is being rekindled. Add another hunk to the mix, Marten, and Lily's head is spinning. There is an assassin out to get her, someone is trying to upset the hierarchy in Hell and her best friends Demon boyfriend is kidnapped. Satan wants her to stay on the job of finding out just who is behind it all and if she actually survives, will it be Nathan or Marten who lays claim to her heart?

I guess you could call this a chick-lit with paranormal elements. After getting by the fashion name dropping and the food descriptions, which made my mouth water, the story itself is very entertaining, sexy and a great adventure. I enjoyed the take on the demon world, especially the fact that Satan is a woman! I enjoyed all the characters in this story, especially Lily, Nathan and Marten. Even though Lily is a succubus, she is just like you and me and is looking for her own love. Nathan really blew it when he left her after finding out what she is, and Marten accepts her for what she is. The tension is high, both the suspense and the sexual tension. I was soon hooked to this story and could hardly put it down. Now I have to get the first book, SUCCUBUS IN THE CITY and won't have to hopefully wait too long for the next book. The only thing that was a bit frustrating is that the story doesn't really end, so you have to get the next book to find out what happens next.
