Things are heating up in Cassie’s world. She might be the Pythia but it sure seems as though everyone in the supernatural community wants to kill her with the exception of the vampire Senate and even that protection has its price in the form of a very sexy master vampire named Mircea. All she wants to do is convince the community that they all need to work together or Apollo will make mincemeat of everyone when he returns.
Karen Chance’s Cassie Palmer books just keep getting better and better. The latest offering CURSE THE DAWN has to be her finest yet. Cassie is a spunky heroine with a lot of heart and untrained power who is trying her very best to stay alive long enough to convince the other players that they really do need to learn to play together long enough to defeat Apollo who will kill everyone in the supernatural community. She is being helped out by two very different men, both alphas who don’t care for each other. Mircea is an ultra sexy vampire who claims Cassie as his own and John Pritkin, a combat mage, who has turned against the mage circle because he believed in Cassie.
I can and do highly recommend CURSE THE DAWN and the entire series to any reader that enjoys urban fantasy with top notch characters and nonstop action. I do recommend reading the entire series through as it would be easy to become lost otherwise. Cassie will worm her way right into your heart because she really is a regular girl with some added problems. And her men are to die for. Be sure to pick up your copy of CURSE THE DAWN right away.
