Lord Bramwell Johns is the second son of a Duke and is a very unrepentant scoundrel. After seeing his two closest friends fall in love, he is determined not to fall into that trap but feeling very restless has Bram wondering what the heck is going on. Relieving aristocrats he deems unworthy of their ill-gotten jewels is not enough to relieve him of this feeling…..that is until he overhears an argument that involves Lady Rosamund Davis and an unwanted marriage to a rogue worse than even Bram. Rose is well aware of Bram’s reputation and is determined to never submit to him even though he tempts her like no other man ever has. She has plans of her own and though Bram may be perfect for her desires, she is determined to never lose sight that she can not trust him even as the sparks fly between them and passion explodes. Can Rosamund get this rogue scoundrel under her heel and will Bram be willing to let Rose steal his heart?

ALWAYS A SCOUNDRAL is the third in Ms. Enoch’s Nortorious Gentlemen Series and centers around Lord Bramwell Johns. A scoundrel and a rake, he leads a secret life as a thief, relieving the ill gotten jewelry from aristocrats. Watching his two best friends fall in love and enjoy domestic bliss has Bram looking to never fall in that trap…just one slight problem…….love has him squarely in its sight. Lady Rosamund Davis is determined to never marry the man chosen by her family and since Bram is a close friend with the man, she is very suspicious of his attention. Rose is a strong independent woman determined to chart her own course and Bram is one yummy hero, determined to be the gentleman this once…except with a woman like Rose keeping him on his toes, he is straining his defenses against seducing the lady. Strong characters, great secondary ones and a fast paced plot keep the story flowing smooth. I highly enjoyed reading Bram’s story and you get to see old friends from the first two books as well. Bram is reevaluating his life and the results are hilarious as he goes against a woman just as equally determined to chart her own course in life.

Ms. Enoch’s ALWAYS A SCOUNDRAL is a delightful entertaining story that will keep you enthralled from start to finish. Full of intriguing characters, tight writing and wonderful prose sprinkled throughout, I was charmed from start to finish. I highly recommend reading the other two books (BEFORE THE SCANDAL & AFTER THE KISS) before this one as Bram shows up there as well and his friends help Bram in his story. If you enjoy a devilishly wicked story that keeps you highly entertained, then grab ALWAYS A SCOUNDRAL and get ready for a wonderful time as Bram and Rose find themselves in love’s sights.
