DARKNESS BURNING is the third book in this series by Delilah Devlin. I did not read the first two books and found myself lost in the world she created. Obviously this impeded my enjoyment of the book as we had characters who apparently shared major connections weaving in and out of the story. As for the lead couple, Alex and Mikaela were likable although there really wasn’t much depth to them other than how much they enjoyed boinking each other. After finishing the book, I still didn’t know much about Mikaela and what makes her tick. Nicolas and Chessa are major players in this book and apparently they were the featured couple in SEDUCED BY DARKNESS.
This is not an “erotic romance” where the hero and heroine upon meeting stay true to one another. The male lead has sex with other people so if you don’t enjoy reading about that then please pass this book on otherwise you will have to skip many pages to bypass the many sexual acts. I really got bored of the many sexual situations as it felt like all the characters did was have sex and anything that happened in between was just set-up for the next sexual act. Avon lists this as erotica and it definitely fulfills that label.
