His village slaughtered, a few lives remained, that could be taken under the protection of the prince. Even now a shifter was coming for the Prince but Lucien had other things in mind for the shifter. Kenji is a passionate half demon, half vampire who only has eyes for his prince,until his prince sets his eyes on the shifter who wanted to kill the man he loved, jealousy would rear its ugly head, but Lucien being the dominant that he was would have to set things straight with his second in command.

I gave this book a 5 because it kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning till end, I was memerized by the way Prince Lucien and his second stayed true and strong throughout this story. This book flowed like water from a tap, easy, almost fluid like. Each chapter builds up for the next, every question is answered by the end.

I loved the twist and turns, ups and downs, ins and outs, you just don’t know what’s going to happen next. It was like the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Their lovemaking is not for the faint-hearted. Kenji loved his punishment before being taken by his prince, I thought my eyes would start to water, just from the pleasure/pain Kenji enjoyed. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a dominant alpha vampire running the show with his sexy second in tow, ready to take on the world. Mr. Barnette outdid himself on this book, and I hope there is another book to come from this one! High fives to Mr. Barnette!
