CLICK TO PURCHASE! A battle is brewing between the Vampires who want to enslave the humans and the Guardians, who police the vampire kind. When Gabrielle Langston stumbles upon this shadow world, her life is forever changed because she is the key to finding the lair of the crazy vampire prince and for the Guardian Davin McCain, the one woman who heals his soul may be lost to him in a matter of days if the vampires get to her first. Can the Guardians help Gabrielle destroy the vampire prince who is determined to keep her at all costs? The race is on as Davin and his fellow Guardians try to stay one step ahead of the vampires’ hell bent on ruling the world.
GUARDIAN’S REALM: THE COMBAT is a satisfying and a really hot read that left me panting and ready to jump my honey. Ms. Kauffman does a great job in creating unique characters that are fresh, alive and very intriguing. I enjoyed the way Davin tried to stop his feelings for Gabrielle yet he couldn’t help but fall for this charming woman who packs quite a wallop on his heart. Strong and definitely sinful, Davin delivers a strong alpha male persona and made my heart melt as he claims Gabrielle more than once. Gabrielle is spunky and though she is at first disbelieving in all things vampire and other paranormal creatures, she gets a major wake up call when the vampires spike her drink and try to kidnap her. With her blinders off, Gabrielle rises up to the challenge of finding the vampire who holds her sister and to find a way to keep Davin at her side. The secondary characters keep the story flowing and man do the sex scenes get you hot. I do have to warn you there is some scenes that may not appeal to others like M/F/M/M, violence, exhibitionism, voyeurism and others.
GUARDIAN’S REALM: THE COMBAT is a great fast paced story that will keep you highly entertained on those cool nights and I really hope this author delves back into this world she has created. I would love to know more about some of the secondary characters mentioned here. If you enjoy a wild and hot ride with some unique gargoyles, then grab GUARDIAN’S REALM: THE COMBAT and hold onto your seats…it’s about to get bumpy.

Hi! A few of my secondary characters wouldn't go away when I finished writing The Combat. Balin, a Guardian warrior, gets more than he bargained for during the raid when he accidentally casts himself, palace slave Gladiolas, and new character Fitch (a vampire) through a magical portal to an enchanged castle prison. Can a Guardian warrior team up with his mortal enemy to protect an innocent slave and survive the treacherous prison?
Book Two in the Guardian series, The Collision is now available at Loose Id.

Hi Crystal!
I have had the same thing happen with my secondary characters too -- my Bride series was supposed to be a stand alone until I found out my hero had a brother. My Descendants of Earth series was supposed to be a stand alone and the next thing I knew the minor best friend had a story and he's got two friends. I think Sci Fi/Fantasy lends itself to secondary characters emerging in interesting ways. There seems to be more possibilities with Sci Fi/Fantasy and paranormal. It sounds like you have an affinity for Roman lore.
