DARE TO BELIEVE is the first book of The Gray Court series by Ms. Bell and I have to say it was an enjoyable story to read. Full of interesting characters, simmering sexual tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat and a mystery that will have you rooting for Ruby to get her heart’s desires. This was the first book I read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised at how time flew by as I read DARE TO BELIEVE.

Meet Ruby Halloway, a extremely shy woman who has lusted after her boss, Les Dunne for awhile now. Each time he came into the room, she scuttles away, scared and longing for him to notice her. This is a character that starts out shy and intimidated by Les but soon you see the core of steel inside her as she discovers the secrets that he hides from her and she has to decide to fight for him and the passion he invokes inside her or walk away, forever leaving her heart behind. I loved Ruby. She was a character that the reader could understand and root for even as she found herself experiencing a passion so intense it marks her forever. I really liked how Les and Ruby interacted with each other as well as with secondary characters. The passion between them was explosive and had me running for a cold shower afterwards.

DARE TO BELIEVE is a wonderful story that will keep you entertained from start to finish. If you enjoy an unusual paranormal romance full of intriguing characters and very explosive sex, then grab DARE TO BELIEVE. I am looking forward to others in this series in the future.
