Ms. Mykles continues the Dark Elves Series with a powerful story in AWAKENING. Here you meet the reoccurring players again, find out what happened since the last book, Discovery, and meet some new characters that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love this series and frankly, Ms. Mykles has some of the most wonderful and sinfully delightful characters that I have ever read. With tight writing, fast paced storyline and a weaving of magic, this author reels you in slowly as AWAKENING kicks off.
Several Centuries have passed and the rogue dark elves have moved closer to the city. With everything they have, the world of the Dark Elves is about to explode when the first female is born to the Dark Elves, Eyrhaen, a princess to the Dark Elves. She has some very powerful magic inside her that she wields with abandon even as she knows there is something she has to do in order to save her people from certain death. Can this proud princess find a way to control the wild magic inside her or will she destroy the Dark Elves? Will Radin finally wake up? The complex characters keep growing in Dark Elves. Here you have a spoiled yet young princess who can’t handle the power inside her. Full of emotions, vulnerability and something even she can not explain, she is on a course that will either help or hinder her. I love the characters of this series and Ms. Mykles does a marvelous job in creating some of the most memorable ones to date. AWAKENING is not just Eyrhaen’s awakening but the entire Dark Elves themselves.
AWAKENING is the sixth book in this series and I highly suggest you read the books in order as each capitalizes on the past book(s). Full of captivating characters, a complex storyline and some sizzling sex, the reader is drawn in a world where sex rules a race that will keep you highly entertained and squirming in your seat. I highly recommend this series for those who enjoy sinfully sexy elves and a storyline that continues to keep you enthralled. I hope there will be more in the Dark Elves world in the future.
