Welcome to Jenna Petersen's guest blog
Released into the Wild
Jenna Petersen
Hi everyone! And thanks for having me here again at Love Romances and More! You’ll have to forgive all my twitching and nervousness today, you see it is officially release day! At this very moment my latest release, What the Duke Desires is hopefully being put on or is already on store shelves everywhere!
Of course release day always brings out a variety of emotions in me. I’m proud to have another book (my 7th as Jenna Petersen) on the shelf. I’m happy that readers will finally have a chance to get a hold of it. I’m terrified no one will buy it. And I’m hopeful that reviews and sales will be good. Release day usually consists of nervously checking Amazon numbers and hoping to hear good news on email. My jitters tend to last a week or so and then I start to relax and remember that none of these things are in my control.
I’m sure it will be the same this time around. Except… well, this book has a catch. You see, it’s not just a book launching with What the Duke Desires but a whole series. This story starts “The Billingham Bastards” series, which is about three men who find out they aren’t who they thought they were and then have to figure out what to do about it.
In the first book, my hero Simon just inherited his title only to find out his father isn’t the good and decent man he pretended to be. My heroine, Lillian, is bent on destroying the family name because of something the hero’s father did to her family. And I think as you read the book, you’ll start to see how the other two heroes will fit into the mix. :)
I really like a series. Writing my Lady Spies was wonderful, but there’s something different about a series linked by heroes. Something a little more dark and dangerous and these three stories are all emotional and sexy and hopefully everything you hope for as you pick up a “Jenna Petersen” romance.
So what kinds of series have you responded to most as readers? Do you like family series or friends? A series tied by an event maybe? What series have really run your bell?

Thanks Danny! ;) And thanks again for having me.
Hi Jenna
I have ordered this book and am waiting for it to arrive can't wait to read it I have all of your books and loved them all you are an auto buy for me and you have given me hours of pleasure getting to know all of you heros and heroines as well as the other characters in your books congrats on the new release.
As for books in a series I love the family ones and the friends they all pull me in and I love getting to know them all and keeping in touch with them through the series.
Have Fun
Helen
Happy Release Day, Jenna. I love your Lady Spies trilogy. I'm a big fan of Stephanie Laurens' Bastion Club series about a group of ex-spies.
Thanks Helen and Jane! You guys are making my day! :)
Hi Jenna! :) Hope your doing well on this release day!! I had to work late or else I would have been at the bookstore already...but don't worry, I will before the week is out!
I love both names you write under, and am excited to see a new "Albright Sisters'" book coming out under your other name, Jess Michaels!
Who is this upcoming book going to be about? So glad your going back to the family....loved the two previous books. Taboo was different but I enjoyed it as well. Read it on a long trip to Illinois during the Fourth of July holiday :) Ugh, and the mom from the family just drives me crazy!!!!!
When your writing as Jess or Jenna do you find yourself doing an obvious shift or is there no difference?
Thanks :) Can you tell I'm a fan?? Happy release day!
Happy release day. I like series books about friends and families. I actually just like series books. I look forward to reading your book.
Rachie,
The next (and last) book in the Albright series is about Beatrice, the witchy younger sister. Winifred will also be resolved in this story, though, so never fear. I'm so glad you've enjoyed them! :)
For me, there's no difference when I write the two. I plot slightly differently, but the voice is very similar and my methods are similar.
Jenna/Jess
