This Christmas, Nyki is about to find her worst fears realized when the Three Fates have her in their sights. In a game of good vs. evil, Nyki finds herself fighting for her love, Joe Bascombe while trying to help some spirits cross over into the light. Can she find a way to fight the Three Fates before they get what they want- Joe’s love and Nyki’s utter defeat?

SILENT NIGHT, HAUNTED NIGHT is book four in Ms. Garey’s wonderful Nyki Styx series. Full of captivating characters and an intriguing storyline, this is an author who keeps her readers gasping after each page is read. I have to say this is truly one of my favorite books in this series. Not because it has Sammy, the sexy devil in it but also we see Nyki and Joe trying to fight something so utterly evil that it gives the reader goose bumps. I love how this author shows every bump, bruise and emotion to her readers of the characters we have grown to love and clamor for. Can Nyki save her relationship with Joe? That is the question as it haunts the pages of SILENT NIGHT, HAUNTED NIGHT.

Poor Nyki Styx. She wakes up one day to find her life slowly imploding into total destruction. With her relationship to Joe slowly unraveling, she races to find a way to save Joe and try not to have her heart broken in the process. Add in hunky devil, Sammy and many mistakes on both Nyki and Joe’s part and stir it all together for one wild and entertaining story. I love how Ms. Garey delves into Nyki’s heart and vulnerability. She takes that fear, throws in a few monkey wrenches and then stirs it together to form the Three Fates who delight in causing havoc for Nyki. Can she prevail in time to stop Joe from being with them rather than her? The reader will find out in SILENT NIGHT, HAUNTED NIGHT.

I really felt for both Nyki and Joe while reading this book. You get a sense of utter desperation on Nyki’s part to get Joe to see what she sees and the defeat of seeing how detached he is. Fears realized, heart broken, Nyki is brought low by the Three Fates until an unexpected encounter with the Light has her believing in miracles. Ms. Garey deftly weaves a subtle web around you as you read Nyki’s latest adventure. This author is a masterful storyteller who delivers humor, multi-dimensional characters and a fast paced storyline to keep the reader highly entertained.

If you enjoy a wonderful paranormal series that keeps you flipping the pages in anticipation then I highly suggest the Nyki Styx series. Even though you can read SILENT NIGHT, HAUNTED NIGHT first, I suggest reading the first three books (Dead Girls Are Easy, A Match Made In Hell & You’re The One That I Haunt) to get a sense of who the characters are and what has happened in the past since it is mentioned in this story. I just hope this isn’t the end of the series. I look forward to more Nyki and Joe adventures in the future.
