Lady Isobel Hume knows how to wield a sword and choose her battles. When her King asks her to form a political alliance through marriage with a French Nobleman, she agrees. Will Stephen tempt her to betray all she has believed in for a chance at love?

KNIGHT OF PLEASURE
is the second book in the All the King’s Men series and though I haven’t read the first book (Knight of Desire), the author does a masterful job in creating characters that stand out and keep the readers’ interest. The plot is rich in history and the simmering tension between Isobel and Stephen keeps things moving along nicely. There are some wonderful secondary characters that I hope the author writes about in future books. I really enjoyed the way this author wrote KNIGHT OF PLEASURE. She is a “new to me” author and one to watch in the years to come as she shares her character rich stories with her readers.

Meet Lady Isobel Hume, a woman who can wield a sword better than any man and knows when to choose her battles to fight. When her king asks her to form a political alliance through marriage, she finds herself content, if not happy, to agree to the royal request. This is definitely a strong heroine who can go to toe to toe with any man and win. I loved that she was no wilting violet either. She is a feisty, independent woman who finds the love of her life in the form of Sir Stephen Carleton, a man who loves the ladies until he spies Isobel and is determined to win her hand. Man, when these two spar together, I thought a fire was going to combust. Stephen is a perfect foil to Isobel’s strong will and both will find danger as they fall more in love. Ms. Moore really knows how to keep the reader eager to know more with her multi-dimensional characters, fast paced storyline and mysteries all within the pages of KNIGHT OF PLEASURE.

KNIGHT OF PLEASURE
is a delightful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end. With some memorable characters, a rich background and more to delight her readers’, this is an author you should check out if you enjoy this emotionally rich story of love, duty and desires.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
