MIDNIGHT FALLS
is the final conclusion of one exciting series that began with Regina in the Sun, Lux in Shadow and Twilight Guardian. Each story is centered on a specific couple (or couples) and the fight against the Shadow Wolves. Ms. Alexander delves into the past for MIDNIGHT FALLS and gives us an explosive ending to the Children of the Goddess series and I was sorry to see it end.

Meet two very different women: Liz, an Unborn Vampire and Hannah, a vampire who feels like she is just not as special as the other women. When Hannah’s love, Jasyn and their friend, Nicolette are attacked and shadow marked, both women will find that they are much more than what they perceive to be; for each has strengths that will be used in a race against time, for the Shadow Wolves are determined to cause chaos and destruction. Ms. Alexander finally gives us a story that centers on Hannah, a vampire who is the mate for Were-shifter Jaysn Dydarron and Liz, a woman who is about to find her true mate in a man that will shock her system and reveal truths she never knew. With a returning cast of favorites, Ms. Alexander brings the action up a notch with MIDNIGHT FALLS as both Hannah and Liz’s stories intertwine with the other and keep the story flowing swiftly. I loved the way Hannah finally saw herself as a woman who is so much more than a person to be sheltered and protected. Even though she was scared, she trusted herself & her friends to help find the inner strength she needs to stop a battle that has been brewing for centuries.
Liz is a woman who never found her truemate yet found love with the fabled Marcus, a hero from the last Great War. Secrets abound when she finds herself face to face with the one man who knows her desires and fantasies- a man that is as mysterious as the night itself. Craving him with an intensity she doesn’t understand, Liz finds she is in the cross hairs as alliances are about to split asunder and truths emerge to shock her to the core. Liz was a strong character in the first three books and in MIDNIGHT FALLS was no exception. She is strong, tough and independent until she meets Midnight, a man who with just one touch makes her melt into his embrace. Oh god, this match up had me either squirming in my seat or cheering as Liz found herself yearning for this strange yet highly desirable man who mystified and captured her interest at the same time. The sex scenes were scorching hot and the passion that flowed between both sets of characters keeps the readers on the edge of their seat as it neared the climatic ending. With my favorite returning characters along for the ride plus some new faces introduced, Ms. Alexander keeps the tension on high as MIDNIGHT FALLS raced to its epic conclusion. I have to recommend reading them in order as each book capitalizes on the past one.
This author keeps the reader on edge as they flipped the page to see what would happen next as Regina, Lux, Zander, Liz and their friends try to figure what happened and how to stop it all before the Shadow Wolves cause chaos in the aftermath. With a deft hand, this author captured every little loose story line and ties it all up in a big red bow. She delivers a satisfying conclusion with a huge “Bang” and I, for one, was crying by the time the last page ended. MIDNIGHT FALLS is a wonderful ending to this four book series and I am hoping Ms. Alexander comes back for a visit for I would love to see what happens to the next generation of the Children of the Goddess. If you haven’t read any of these stories and love a different were-shifter, vampire story, then grab the Children of the Goddess series and settle in for one wonderful journey.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
