Costa Calabrese has had to deal with a lot in his life. His mother’s death….his hard life and now finding out he is a famed Demon Hunter’s son, who is next in line to fulfill the duties of being a Demon Hunter. With his friends by his side, he finds himself pitted against the worst kind of demon-himself. Can Costa find a way to get past the fear, the anger and other emotions to save the one woman he needs and cherishes before it is too late?

SEEK & DESTROY carries on a few years later and it gives the reader many wonderful twists that will leave you breathless. I found this story a bit easier for me to read, maybe it was the mood I was in or I got involved within the story itself, but whatever it was, Ms. Vespia had me captivated from page one. With some wonderful characters, be it Costa and his friends or some great secondary characters, the story flowed smooth like a river with many bends along the way to keep the reader intrigued to see what would happen next.

Meet Costa Calabrese, the now “famed” demon hunter. He has beaten some vampires and other demons but his biggest test is about to begin and it will transform his entire world and his friends as well. Sent to a distant Dragon Island, he and his trusty friends, Talisa and Paralay, they find something more deadly than they ever thought. Evil will win if Costa fails and he also has to battle his inner demons as well in the process. Can Costa as well as his friends find a way to save themselves and mankind before all hell breaks loose? I have to admit, the three main characters grew on me, though Paralay and Costa need a swift kick sometimes for their stubbornness and by being a pain in the arse. Ms. Vespia makes it all work out in the end and you see a few unexpected twists that leave you going “whoa! WHAT!?!” and scrambling to flip the pages to see what happens next. The secondary characters keep the story flowing nicely and I enjoyed the way Costa grows in this book as a person as he comes to terms of his heritage, his feelings and more.

SEEK & DESTROY is a wonderful adventure that will satisfy those who enjoy vampires, demons and human foibles on center stage. Ms. Vespia is a masterful storyteller and she weaves a magical spell around you as you read her stories. I highly recommend reading the first book in order to understand the background of Costa, Talisa and Paralay plus what happen there as it will be mentioned in the second book. I look forward to reading the final book in the series when it comes out. I hope not too far in the future.
