Coot McCord’s death brought them back to the family ranch. Destiny and a few lovely lasses, will keep them there. Emergency medic Marilee Trainor has finally found her independence and likes her solitary life just the way it is. Wyatt McCord may be known as a playboy, but when he spots Marilee at a rodeo, his wandering ways come to an end. Falling in love isn’t always easy, but when Marilee stumbles on a clue to the legendary McCord gold, she finds her life in danger. Wyatt knows Marilee is very serious about her independence, but he can’t help but want to protect her. If their MONTANA DESTINY is to be realized, they are both going to have to learn to trust.
R.C. Ryan’s MONTANA DESTINY is a sweet and touching contemporary western romance mixed with a touch of mystery and danger. The McCord cousins have all come home to the family ranch and as they band together to search for the family gold, they seem to find a treasure in the local women, one cousin at a time. Wyatt never looked like the type to fall to love, but the minute he meets Marilee, all bets are off. These two butt heads again and again, but their chemistry and the danger brewing in Montana has them finding their way back to each other just as often.
The search for the gold and the danger that comes with it, keeps the story moving at a nice clip and adds some excitement to what otherwise might have been just a sweet love story. Though it is fairly obvious that another McCord cousin is sure to find his match in the next book in this series, this reader is looking forward to the one that got away from the original McCord, Coot. Her heartbreak was a big part of MONTANA DESTINY and this reader just knows love must be in her future.
Fans of a nice contemporary western romance are sure to enjoy MONTANA DESTINY and all the McCord stories. Look for the next book, MONTANA GLORY, to come out in November.
