It engrossed me to the point I just had to find out what happens next for Vassil in the Black Forest. The characters were so life-like and multi-dimensional, it gives a wonderful flair to the story that I enjoyed immensely. Ms. Hyacinth is a talented author and delivers something for everyone in THE THREE HORSEMEN OF THE BLACK FOREST. The writing is tight and story flowed smoothly to completely ensnare the reader till the very end. This story from Ms. Hyacinth is a feast for the senses as you travel with Vassil into the Black Forest and find much more than you ever imagined.
Meet Vassil, a man who has been left behind by a father who couldn’t take it anymore and a step-mother who hated his guts. With a magical toy soldier, he has grown up in a home where he tried to stay out of the way as much as possible. When his step-brothers decide to get rid of him by forcing him to go into the dreaded Black Forest, Vassil discovers adventure and a love waiting just for him. Vassil is a wonderful complex character that tugs at the heart of the reader in the beginning. I fell in love with Vassil and his three future lovers-Deni, Sonta and Noci. Mystery swirls around these three men and as Vassil is drawn deeper into the woods, he has to fight evil as well as embrace the love these three give him. These four fit together perfectly. Vassil is gentle yet strong willed, the three horsemen are as different as night is to day and I don’t want to give away the mystery that surrounds them, and even I was surprised at the end at who these yummy men were.
In THE THREE HORSEMEN OF THE BLACK FOREST, Ms. Hyacinth does a spin on the Russian fairytale, Vassila the Beautiful, and delivers a heart stopping, “oh my god, melt the panties” story that will keep you glued till the very end. This is an author who knows her characters and shares their vulnerabilities to the reader with many twists that will leave you breathless. If you enjoy a different take on a fairy tale then grab THE THREE HORSEMEN OF THE BLACK FOREST and settle in for one wild ride. I highly recommend keeping a fan on nearby as this baby is HAWT!
