Noelle Ryan's husband left her 3 years ago because he was gay. Both of them were pursuing a dream of children and family and when she found out she was infertile, their marriage ended. They have split as friends and it has caused her to be unable to move on. Her journey though life as a single woman takes her through dating, becomes friends with her ex-mother in law and gets on with her life.

Jasper Fox meets Noelle at a New Year's Eve party and is quickly smitten with her. As they get to know one another Noelle's baggage from her ex, Jasper's ex-girlfriend and more get in the way making life miserable for Noelle. Her insecurities mean she cannot move past the hurt from being divorced and finding out she is infertile in the space of one year.

FREE TO A GOOD HOME is a novel filled with emotion. Eve Marie Mont has taken delicate subjects and given them real life scenarios to leave readers reeling. Her novel is emotionally charged yet left this reader wanting more. As Noelle's brother's girlfriend learned she was pregnant and they had to make the decisions - abortion, adoption, marriage - I felt as though the options could have been explored more. Perhaps there could be another novel from the talented author?
I enjoyed how Ms. Mont took each chapter and had the reader look into Noelle's diary once a month, a quick jolt of reality for the reader. She made me smile and cringe at what Noelle got into as I read each chapter willing Noelle to call Jasper and make life a little easier. I fell in love with Jasper in the beginning as he introduced himself and cringed at his name. He is a little dorky yet a brilliant businessman who any woman would love to call her own!

This was a great vacation read and I will be watching Eve Marie Mont for more novels. Her secondary characters left me wanting more. I would love to see both Jay and Nick get their own novel in the future.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
