Rohan Kilburn, the Duke of Warrington, is known as a debauched and scandalous aristocrat, but to those in the know he is a warrior. His bloodline is said to be cursed as the Warrington men have all been plagued by tragedy, going mad or losing their wives. Rohan has vowed to never love, but instead has vowed to devote himself to his secret missions for his country.

Kate Madsen is brought before Rohan as a sacrificial virgin by the local pirates, but despite her position as a prisoner she vows to never give in. Kate is surprised to find although he might be a stern master, Rohan hasn’t forced her into losing her virginity, despite her being a gift of sorts.

Once they join forces and go looking for the lost treasure, a dangerous adventure like nothing they’d expected begins. They might be drawn to each other, but neither wants to admit, love could be in both their hearts.

MY DANGEROUS DUKE, is a story full of surprises and twists and turns in the plot, as they join forces and search for Kate’s kidnappers. The intrigue deepens as Kate learns about her other name, as they search for her father and the treasure guarded by evil intent. It’s a complex tale taking the reader from a haunted castle, to the endless moors, then into the dangerous streets and alleys, of London’s hidden places and onwards to the high seas while being chased by black clad assassins.

Once the first chapter was past and the story became more intense, there was so much going on it was a page turner for this reviewer. The bad guys seemed to pop up whenever things were going well for this adventurous sword and knife wielding twosome. Neither the Duke, nor the lady, is what they seem at first in this rollicking tale, so enjoy the ride in this well plotted book.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
