Adam has kept his distance and respected Nate’s mourning but now, Adam has been catching Nate looking at him with more than a friendly gleam in his eye. Adam has a secret though that may cause Nate some problems in the future-like being his people’s Kokopelli. A fragile relationship is tested when danger mounts against Adam and Nate is caught in the crossfire. Can Adam figure out what is going on especially as his Kokopelli tattoo returns?

SEEKING KOKOPELLI is a wonderful story centered on the legend of Kokopelli. This is an author who takes this legend and delivers a story that will blow you away. It has friendship, romance, passion and danger all rolled up into one sweet package awaiting the reader to unwrap it. I loved how this author took a legend and myth and captured two characters within its pages perfectly. The story was fast paced, tension kept me on the edge of the seat and romance was perfectly balanced between Adam and Nate. It wasn’t too fast or too slow. It came from a friendship and evolved which made their relationship, in my opinion, much more special.

Meet Adam James, a talented musician on tour with his band and longing for Nate McKenzie, a roadie for the band. Respectful towards Nate’s loss of his wife, Adam doesn’t think nothing will come about his desires until he spies Nate watching Adam and he is hopeful things are changing between them. Adam has a secret though that eventually comes out to Nate and his fellow band mate. He is a descendant of Kokopelli and even though he was forcibly stripped of his magic and tattoo years before, he finds it coming back at a time when he least expects it. Nate McKenzie loved his late wife and has mourned for her deeply. Quiet & sorrowful, he finds himself dreaming not of his late wife but of Adam, one of the musicians. Confused by his feelings, he tries to stay away from Adam but danger strikes at Adam and Nate is drawn into Adam’s past even as he struggles for a future with a man he admires and lusts after. Oh man I have to admit these two drew me in perfectly. Adam struggles with his past and though he is happy doing something he loves, he has unresolved issues in regards to his family and tradition of being the kokopelli. Nate in the beginning worries he is being unfaithful to his wife but gives into his growing feelings for Adam. Both characters are perfect together. They match perfectly and this author delves into their vulnerabilities, strengths and delivers complex characters that will leave you smiling. There were a few secondary characters that had me laughing by the light-hearted banter to offset the serious tone at times and it brought the story to a well rounded cast of characters.

SEEKING KOKOPELLI is a heartfelt and emotional story about two people struggling with feelings from past issues and coming together in a way that leaves tears in your eyes. The sex scenes enhance the story and keep the storyline flowing smoothly. Ms. Munro delivers a complex yet heartfelt story that will leave you breathless. I haven’t read one this author’s books before and I absolutely loved this book. If you are looking for a romantic story with complex characters, passion that builds until it explodes and a mystery to tease the reader then you will enjoy SEEKING KOKOPELLI. I hope Ms. Munro delves back into this world she has created again in the future. I would love to read more about some of the secondary characters.
