CLICK TO PURCHASE! Lindsay Carrington never expected to find himself in a military testing facility while growing up. His parents, appalled at the magic he has inside him, give him over to the military, hoping to “cure” their son. What it ensures is years of turmoil, pain and anguish as Lindsay is forced to endure experiment after experiment on him. Dane is sent to rescue Lindsay and he finds a broken mage, one that calls out all his protective instincts even if it’s against his will. Feral and broken as well, Dane is bound to the young man and though danger mounts for them both, they find something worth fighting for-love.

TATTERDEMALION was an interesting story to read. It had a clever hook in the beginning and caught me immediately. I have never read one of these author’s books before and found myself intrigued by the characters and fast moving plot. The writing was tight and the mystery surrounding both Dane’s and Lindsay kept me glued to the pages, eager to see what was revealed next.

Meet Lindsay Carrington, a young man trapped for several years in a secret military facility by his parents, where he undergoes experiment after experiment all because he has rare magic that his parents despise. Breaking free though broken inside, Lindsay is rescued by Dane, another feral, broken mage who has secrets behind his eyes. Both Lindsay and Dane were interesting characters to read about, as they had secrets/issues to deal with and enemies after them. They intrigued me from the start and I definitely wanted to know about Dane’s issues. The relationship between Dane and Lindsay started small with trust building between them and it eventually had a few searing sex scenes that enhanced the story rather than take away from it. There were a few secondary characters that had me chuckling and eager to know more of.

TATTERDEMALION was a great introduction to the newest series by these two talented authors and I am eager to see what happens in future books. If you want a different sort of urban fantasy book with some interesting characters, then grab the latest TATTERDEMALION and settle in for several hours of reading pleasure. I am looking forward to more wonderful stories from these authors in the future.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
