MOON’S SWEET POISON is the first book in this author’s Deadly Mates series and one that had me glued to every page, eager to see what would happen next. I love this author’s writing and this book was just as good as her other ones. You have got mystery, action, hot steamy manlove and more all rolled up within the pages of MOON’S SWEET POISON. I loved the dynamics between Viktor, Kaiden and Viktor’s pack as well as Kaiden’s secret that threatened to kill anything he may have with Viktor. The storyline flowed smoothly and delivered a romance that defied conventions. I absolutely adored the pairing of Kaiden and Viktor. They definitely meshed well together and Viktor was a deliciously yummy alpha male that had me drooling. This is an author who really knows her characters. They are multi-dimensional, have vulnerabilities and when they finally find that one person that is their mate, the path towards a happily ever after is fraught with secrets, mysteries and desires that will scorch the pages. The sex scenes are hot and don’t take away from the story at all. There are a few secondary characters that left me wondering if they will show up in future Deadly Mates books.
Scarlet Hyacinth is fast becoming my favorite author in the M/M Genre. Her books are wonderfully imaginative and literally steal the breath away from you with powerful characters, sensual undertones and a romance that defies convention. MOON’S SWEET POSION is one story that will keep you riveted till the very end and eager for more. If you haven’t picked up the first book in her Deadly Mates series, then I highly suggest you hightail it to your favorite online bookstore and grab it. I am eager to see who is next in the Deadly Mates series and hope I won’t have to wait too long for it.
