With little field training to fall back on, Sam turns to handsome operative Ben, who she has worked with on a previous assignment. But someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make it appear that Sam is working with the enemy and proving her innocence to the enigmatic soldier Ben may not be that easy.
Move over Suzanne Brockmann and Marliss Melton, there is a new name in romantic military suspense. Kaylea Cross has thrown her hat in the ring as she challenges readers to keep up with her heroes in the fast paced emotional military suspense, NO TURNING BACK.
Cross has a real flair for imagery. Her scenes leap from the page with emotion and adrenaline. After barely having been introduced to her main characters, this reader found herself blinking back tears as we follow Sam through the streets of Afghanistan to finally meet up with the disbelieving uber-soldier, Ben. As they work together with Ben’s fellow operatives to bring Sam’s cousin back safely, the sheer panic that Sam feels is smoothly passed onto Cross’ readers. And though we can guess how this story is probably going to end, Cross manages to still give readers exactly what they are looking for in an ending without taking the easy way out.
Kaylea Cross has really proven herself with her latest military suspense, NO TURNING BACK. This author is bound to spiral to the top of the best seller lists and this reader cannot wait to see what she will come up with next. Bravo Ms. Cross. Bravo.

Every book is a fantastic read - particularly Absolution (Luke's story) and Cover of Darkness (Dec's story)!
If you love military romantic suspense then you really do owe it to yourself to read those books. This is my favorite genre and I would put this series up against Brockmann any day!
