Olivia is a red-haired Therian. She is beautiful and strong. When she was a child, she survived a terrible and deadly attack by supernatural beings and was the only surviver. But, now she has an ability that could get her killed should her kind find it out. Now, she must team up with the Feral Warriors, and they too would kill her if they found out about her special skill.
Jag is instantly attracted to the beautiful Therian. He is a predator, dark, dangerous and tormented. He is mean to everyone and baits the other Warriors into brawls and fights. Not many like him, but he is tolerated because he is sorely needed. Nevertheless, Jag is often at the wrong end of a fist. He is determined to have the Therian writhing underneath him. Together they have to hunt terrible demons and demonic mages. Olivia may be attracted to him too, but she cannot love him. The battle of the wills is on.
This is a fantastic story and it seems that I have again, started on a series a few books in and it looks as though I need to pick up the previous books. Not because I didn’t understand this story and need the back books, but because this story was soooo good, I need to read more!!
Anyway, back to my review. The characters are absolutely awesome. Jag is a first class jerk. But, right at the beginning, Pamela Palmer shows a little vulnerability in his character so that the reader knows, that this jackass has some hope. Olivia is really strong, but has a lot of fear, fear that her secret will be found out. Together they dance the dance of attraction and lust. I was captivated by these two. I was hanging onto the edge of my seat wondering will they? Won’t they? Then we have the plot which was just as exciting as the romance. The enemies are deadly and dangerous. Not everyone survives. It’s very exciting reading and kept me up past my bedtime. This is a book and series that is not to be missed!
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
