Reading the first few pages before spotting the warning note has Mary finding out that the Darkling are real and one has claimed her for his mate. Mary has a choice: Accept the Darkling, warts and all or go back to her boring life, never to experience that peace she found with her Darkling. Can she find a way to do that before it’s too late?
DARKLING LUST is a fast paced, erotic short story that will leave you clamoring for more. Ms. Karland is a talented writer who knows how to weave a spell around her readers even as she gives them some wonderfully well written tales to heat their nights up. I love the dynamics between Mary and the Darkling who chose her to be his forever. Plus some secondary characters had me wondering if they would pop up in future Darkling series books. The writing was tight, storyline flowed smoothly and the characters were well developed.
DARKLING LUST introduces the reader to the myth of the Darklings and the world they live in. I loved how the author fleshed the story out with a few intriguing parts that had me eager to see what would happen next for Mary and her Darkling. Mary is a character I could relate to. Who hasn’t read a forbidden book because they were curious? When Mary finds out her fate is to be with a Darkling, she finds the one who claims her gives her peace and a love that defies all she ever believed in. The characters were fleshed out nicely and you got a sense of who they were inside their hearts in the story.
DARKLING LUST is a highly entertaining story that will get you all hot and bothered. Ms. Karland delivers highly addictive stories that will leave you breathless and eager for more. If you are looking for a hot story to heat your nights up, this is the perfect appetizer for you to enjoy. I am getting quite addicted to this author’s work and highly recommend any of her stories for your reading pleasure.
