Xeras is a young noblemen who has watched his lover be executed just for being a commoner. Heart broken, he leaves his land and travels away from the source of his pain. Grief stricken, he finds himself in a forest, alone, hungry and lost. Waking up the next morning Xeras finds he’s changed forever. Xeras has been chosen by the Father of Dragons to host a dragon child inside him. He tries to refuse but when he finds himself caring for the little guy inside him, Xeras changes his tune. On a journey to stop some dragons from harming local villages, he meets a duke, Carly, who steals his heart. Can Xeras trust Carly with the information that he is dragon chosen and that he needs Carly’s help to face his past in order to have a future?

FATHER OF DRAGONS is the beginning of a wonderful series that has everything for a reader to enjoy-humor, passion, romance and mystery all wrapped up with a bow. Ms. Veinglory delivers a riveting story that captivates you from the beginning to the very end. With each page, I was drawn more and more into Xeras’s story and found myself rooting for this young man to get his heart’s desire, whatever it may be. Ms. Veinglory delivers a story that is refreshing and a new spin on dragons and magic amid a world so detailed, it felt like I was alongside Xeras as he finds his destiny.

Xeras is a refreshing change in heroes. Open, big hearted and definitely a man I would want to hang with, dragon egg inside him or not. I couldn’t put the book down and found Xeras to be one hero I could root for even after the last page was read. The sex scenes were well written and didn’t take over the story in the least. The secondary characters kept the story flowing smoothly and some intrigued me so I am hoping Ms. Veinglory comes back to this series in the future.

FATHER OF DRAGONS is a well written story that will surely leave a smile on your face and running to the computer to see if this author continues Xeras’s story. With each page, the reader is drawn into a world full of dragons, magic and a love that will not be denied. If you are looking for a story that has humor, romance and a mystery to solve, then grab FATHER OF DRAGONS. It will surely hit all your emotions and then steal your heart in the process.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of the book.
