Kellan Largent is studying ancient Egyptian cults and finds a reference to the fabled Earth Warriors. Before he can finish reading about these warriors, he finds himself embroiled in a war that has raged forever. Bastet has been keeping Earth safe from those who want all the Earth Warrior’s secrets for their gain. Meeting Kellan has Bastet twisted in knots for if he doesn’t keep Kellan safe, then the world as Kellan knows it is gone forever.

BASTET is one wild ride from beginning to end. I love author T. A. Chase’s story of mythical warriors, cults and a romance that will defy the gods. With the right amount of sexual tension, mystery and adventure, this author keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with all the twists and turns. It has a mysterious villain who is after Kellan and the secrets of the Earth Warriors. Well crafted characters keep the story flowing smoothly and the sex scenes sizzle between Baz (Bastet) and Kellan without taking away from the story itself.

Kellan is a grad student who enjoys learning about ancient religions. One day, researching on Egyptian religious cults, he stumbles upon a reference to the mythical Earth Warriors and in that instant his life becomes something more complex then even Kellan imagines. I love Kellan. He was sweet, shy and often overlooked but when he talks about the ancient religions, the reader can see him come alive with the passion of it. Bastet is one of seven who were chosen to be a protector of Earth by the Egyptian gods. Meeting Kellan has him tied up in knots and as these two fall in love, they must unite together to fight an evil, mysterious villain bent on getting the secrets of the Earth Warriors―at whatever the cost. Baz (Bastet) and Kellan are perfectly matched in every way. Kellan is shy and feels at times invisible; Baz makes him feel safe and loved.

T. A. Chase is a talented author who keeps the reader glued to the pages, eager to find out what happens next to Baz and Kellan.

T. A. Chase is fast becoming one of my favorite authors and I am eager to see what happens next in the Earth Warrior’s series. If you are looking for a story with amazingly life-like characters, a fast paced storyline, suspense and sinfully hot scenes to melt the iciest of hearts, then grab BASTET and settle in for one pulse pounding ride.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of the book.
