The scandalous widow Clara, Lady Westington awakes to find herself tied to a bed. The fact wouldn’t shock her so much, because it isn’t the first time for her, although she is normally naked, but what shocks her is the fact that the owner of the bed is the oh-so prim and proper Jonathon Masters. But is he really so proper? Jonathan doesn’t really want her, but he can’t deny his feelings toward her. As they really become acquainted with each other, they discover that although they are so different in character they are perfect together.

BOUND BY TEMPTATION is a very enjoyable Regency read. It was my first book by Ms. Kent, but definitely not the last. It’s always great to discover new voices in one of my favourite genres.

The best way to sum up the relationship between Clara and Jonathon is “Opposite attracts”. It’s hilarious to see how Clara turns Jonathon’s life upside down and brings a fresh wind into his life. Really it was fun to see how the relationship between those two different and very complex characters develops.

BOUND BY TEMPTATION is the second book of Ms. Kent’s Masters family series, which started with A TALENT FOR SIN, but it is no problem to start the series with this book, as you can read it as standalone.

Keep your eyes open for the next book, TAKEN BY DESIRE, in the series, which was released in December 2010.

I can recommend this book to all fans of Historical romance that are looking for a new author with unusual characters.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of the book.
