Jess O’Brien has survived her parent’s break up, being diagnosed with ADD and made her Inn more than profitable after a brink of bankruptcy. With a reputation of being the family screw up, Jess finds herself longing for someone to share her successes with. She wants what her siblings have-a family, kids and a man to share it with. She just never anticipated it would include Will Lincoln, town psychiatrist.

Will Lincoln has loved Jess since they were kids but she, alas, never saw him as much more than a friend. Well that is until Will decides to give it one last shot and try to win Jess’s barricaded heart. Will he be able to get Jess to trust in herself that she deserves a forever love…with him?

I have to admit…Sherryl Woods stories are like comfort food-full of yummy goodness that goes straight to the heart. I absolutely enjoy her books and this new series, Chesapeake Shores, is one full of amazing, lifelike characters that make the story so real, it had me wanting to tell my honey that we need to go visit this quaint town.

MOONLIGHT COVE is Jess O’Brien’s story and it was nice to see her happily ever after finally. We met Jess and Will in the previous books about the O’Brien family. I have to say the sub-plot that started in book one, THE INN AT EAGLE POINTE, had me eager for the next book, BEACH LANE.

The author definitely knows her characters-warts and all, which makes for a wonderful story in my opinion. We get to see the vulnerabilities Jess and Will have as well as the sparks that fly every time they are together. The connection between the characters makes the story much stronger. You can see how much love the O’Brien’s have for one another even as they like to meddle in their respective family members lives. There is humor, passion and the right amount of angst to keep the reader glued to the pages until the very end.

MOONLIGHT COVE is one of those comfort stories that you go back to after reading it. It has a fun, boisterous family-the O’Brien’s-, a tight friendship between siblings and friends of the family and a romance that is meant to be-if Jess and Will listen to their hearts.

When you read a Sherryl Woods book, you know you are coming home and her latest, MOONLIGHT COVE is one of the best to date. If you are looking for a fun, feel good story with a happy ending, then grab MOONLIGHT COVE and be transported to Chesapeake Shores. I am eager to see what books are in store for the O’Brien’s and all their friends in future.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
