Tammy Jo is still trying to get a hold on her magic which goes haywire at times. But sometimes heats up when some of the locals get together for a witch hunt. They want to get rid of Tammy, believing she is responsible for all the strange goings on. She gets a brooch in the mail and with it a ghostly vision of a young woman. The president of the World Association of Magic shows up to investigate her. Then, there is her relationship with wizard, Bryn Lyons which is not supposed to be, as there’is a prophecy forbidding their association. The visiting wizards bring all kinds of catastrophes that have Bryn and Tammy, wondering what their true mission is. Tammy needs to choose between a prophecy or the synergy between her and Bryn which will bind them forever.

This is a really fun story. I haven’t read the others in this series but would love to! It also didn’t spoil the fun of reading this story as it is pretty much a stand alone. I enjoyed the plot and dialogue which was witty and sharp, as it moved at a good pace and never got boring. The characters are well crafted and the magic believable. Ms Frost blends various paranormal elements into a well written story, to give the reader a captivating and entertaining read. This is a book you will not want to put down. I enjoyed the dance Tammy and Bryn danced around each other. It was a ‘will she’—‘won’t she?’ situation that had me rooting for Bryn to win in the end. I fell in love with him too, although you are not completely sure if he is really good or not. Anyway, go get this one and dive into a really delightful story that will surely keep you up past the midnight hours.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book
