Andrew Grey is a man who knows how to tell a story. From the first book I have picked up by this author, I have been transfixed by his emotional stories and a cast of characters that stole my heart, time and time again. In his latest book in the spin-off of the Bottled series, we meet some old friends such as Dieter and Gerald from LEGAL ARTISTRY (Art Series #1) and Bobby and Kenny from Uncorked (Bottled Up Series #4). I was pleased to see some familiar faces and loved seeing how their lives intersect after each of their stories were done. Mr. Grey gives readers a treat with the crossovers from the original series, Bottled Up and past characters of the Art Series.

The character of Timothy is someone who I wanted to give a hug to. He was determined to live again yet was afraid that his past would threaten that. Add in he has some secrets that could unravel his new life, well, let’s just say I wanted to hug him a long time and whisper it would be all right. The characters are well written, diverse and very relatable. I really enjoyed meeting past characters from the two series as well. Joiner is a perfect match to Timothy. He is open, loving and ready to help Timothy through anything; he finds a friendship with the young man and a love that will either bring him much joy or heartache. The secondary characters are wonderful as well and I really hated the bad characters in this story with a passion. I won’t give away some of the plot points but let’s just say you, the reader, will want to join me in running them out of town.

Andrew Grey’s LEGAL TENDER is a strong, emotionally charged story that delivers everything a reader would want in a story. Love, friendship, mystery and action; LEGAL TENDER delivers all this and more. If you haven’t picked up one of this author’s books before, I highly recommend you do so today. I do recommend you start from the beginning of the series (Bottled Up) as even though this is a standalone title, the past characters may make you want to know their stories as well. Andrew Grey has done it again and I, for one, cannot wait to see what else this master storyteller has up his sleeve for his readers in the future.
