Best Ever Summer Reading Blog Tour

We recently heard about an event we thought readers would find a lot of fun -- the best of summer reading as seen through the eyes of a few authors. We asked one of their members, Corinne Davies, to chat with us a bit. The rest of the participants who will be talking about the books they plan to read this summer and asking you about yours will be listed below. Meanwhile a bit about Corinne.....

Name one thing that your readers would be surprised to know about you.

I’m an avid lover of all things that have to do with sticks and string.  At any given moment, I’ll have at least four different knitting projects on the go. I keep one next to my lap top and when I hit a snag in what I’m writing I will knit until the knot untangles in my head.

What author causes you to "go fan girl"/ squeal over/anticipate upcoming books?

There are so many authors that I love and watch the calendar for their releases. The top three, I would say are Heather Rainier, Nalini Singh and Leah Brook.

How do you pick your characters names?

I have a wonderful Character Naming Sourcebook by Sherrilyn Kenyon that I use for finding traditional names. When I named Mai, Jelani and Marcario I specifically picked names from the countries in which they had been conceived. I’ve also used names from people I know, musicians and some are a little nod to my favourite characters in other stories or tv shows.

What is your favorite type of chocolate?

I don’t think there has ever been a style of chocolate made that I don’t enjoy. But, I am partial to chocolate and bacon combos and Lindt makes a dark chocolate and sea salt that I love.

What is in the wings for your readers to look forward to?

My next book, Protect and Fur (3xtasy Lake 5) will be released on July 9th and I’m hard at work on the sixth book in the series, Surrounded by Fur.

Erotic Paranormal Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, werewolves]

Mai isn’t impressed when she discovers her friend has set her up on a surprise blind date, but a bad date is the least of her worries. She is about to discover that humans aren’t the only predators walking the streets of Toronto. Now, Mai faces two choices—returning to her safe world alone or standing up to not one but two of the most dominant men she has ever met.

Twin werewolves, Vencel and Gaspar, escaped their war-torn homeland and discovered a new home in the wilds of Algonquin Park. They never expected to find their mate in a fragile, human woman. Convincing her of their true natures proves harder than they anticipated, especially now that an old enemy has found them and is threatening to destroy their new home and family.

EXCERPT:
Mai stood under a generous spray of hot water. Her body felt sore and achy, but she couldn’t deny the incredible feeling of peace that filled her. As if she didn’t have a worry in the world. That alone should concern her, but the unexplainable sense of being exactly where she should be overrode her normal tendency to overthink her worries. Accompanying this feeling of “rightness” was the urge to press the twins for information. Exactly what did this bonding thing Vencel spoke about mean to her? Or was it nothing more than words to make me feel special?

She hurried through the rest of her shower and then quickly donned a tank top and cut off shorts. A moment of wickedness came over her, and she deliberately left her bra in the suitcase. Glancing at herself, she almost changed her mind. Her nipples pushed in sharp relief against the fabric. The bite marks they gave her earlier stood out like a beacon on her pale skin. A small, negative voice in the back of her head reminded her that they remained out her league. Why even dream of a future with them? Now that they both got what they wanted, would she find herself pointed back to the city and her lonely life in front of a computer?

Great interview! I don't think I've found anyone who doesn't like chocolate yet!

I so enjoy Corinne's books. Looking forward to the next one.

I myself love a smooth milk chocolate. Not so much a fan of dark chocolate.
