When
Jake Sanders comes home for the Christmas holidays, the last thing on his mind
is seeing his crush from high school again. All he wanted to do was enjoy his
family even as he tries to heal from a bad romance that left him doubting
himself and his ability to trust anyone again. But this is the season of
miracles and if Jake lets himself believe in himself, he just might find the
perfect Christmas present in Ben.
Silvia
Violet delivers a wonderful Christmas themed story that readers will fall in
love with. The story flowed smoothly and the characters were center stage. I
fell in love with Jake the minute he stepped onto the first page. He had a
wounded air about him as he tried to forget his ex-boyfriend and let himself
heal from that toxic relationship with his family. But of course, the reader
could tell his mother knew all about his crush on Ben and that she wanted Jake
to go out to see him. I absolutely adored Jake’s family. They were a tight knit
clan, with parents who loved Jake and a sister who adored him. The author does
a marvelous job in creating tenseness as Jake wrestles with his emotions and
feelings, confused and aroused at the same time when he finally gets the nerve
to see Ben, who owns the local bakery. The secondary characters are enjoyable,
entertaining and keeps the story moving along nicely. I enjoyed the banter Jake
had with a few of them. It made the story more life-like in my opinion, while I
was reading it.
All
I can say is get those fans ready because those sex scenes in ONE KISS are scorching hot. I think I
ran outside to cool off after reading one scene and wishing for something cold
to drink. This is an author who really gets creative in a few scenes and I am
warning you in advance to either get the shower ready or jump your significant
other.
Silvia
Violet’s ONE KISS is a tender, seductive story of following your heart
and finding the strength to let yourself believe in love again. With the right
amount of angst, sex and romance, the reader is treated to a beautiful told
story that will make you wish snow was falling and a roaring fire was in front
of them. I look forward to seeing what else this author has up her sleeve for
her beloved readers in the future.
