Rhyan Hall is a florist. There’s a burglar in town and Rhyan inadvertently traps both himself and the amazingly yummy shopkeeper across the street in his burglar trap. During the disaster Rhyan changes shape into his salamander form and can’t shift back, leaving him with a whole lot of explaining to do.

This is a wonderful short story with vivid characters and an offbeat premise. The reader’s heart beats hard for Rhyan as she identifies with him and hopes everything will work out all right, running the gamut of emotions with him from low to high and back again.
Mike, too, is a great character, and through his actions and dialogue we see his nature and are waiting for Rhyan to understand as well.
The author packs a lot into such a short length. Two wonderful characters and a quick sketch of a third person who is also entertaining, a red hot sex scene, and a plot with enough depth and power to draw the reader in. Even the backstory is neatly inserted into the drama and has a neat and clever twist to it. This story is only the beginning but it’s more than enough to leave the reader satisfied.
Ms. Roman has penned a light-hearted and fun story, that has an underlying depth of passion. I’d love to read a follow-up story to this one. These characters are too fascinating to put away so quickly.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
