Lindy Hopkins is a workaholic who finally takes a few days off work over Christmas to totally relax in her boss’s holiday cottage far away from the demands of paperwork and email. She brings some books to read and plans to stay inside by the fire and do nothing.
Alex Anderson spent one wild night with Lindy when she cast aside her buttoned-down image and her complete focus only on the job, and danced and partied and went to bed with him. He wants that Lindy back. When Alex finds Lindy is in the cabin already he determines to win her over completely this time.

There are only the two characters in this short book, so we never find out whether or not Sylvia, their boss, deliberately set them up or not, and that is a neat little twist to the story as each reader can wonder about how their meeting happened and can decide for themselves.
It’s a simple and predictable story, but well written, and cleanly presented with some good dialogue and a nice little way of weaving their reading choices  through the plot, too.
In some ways Lindy comes across as a bit too tough and harsh, and her capitulation is rather rushed, but her motives are given. They could, perhaps, have been expanded on somewhat. Alex, on the other hand, is the perfect and totally yummy hero. Every reader will want him and be hoping his wishes come true.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
