Maggie Lee didn’t want to be a hit woman. Heck if she could, she would never do it again but alas she needs the money especially when her beloved niece is hurt in an accident and Maggie needs to come up with the money for her care. Enter in another job and if that didn’t beat it all, her aunts are driving her insane and that knock on her head…yeah well it now has her being Dr. Doolittle since she can talk and understand animals. Some days Maggie just wants to toss the covers over her head and not get out of bed but what can you do when you are a neurotic hit woman?

I haven’t picked up this author before and I found her latest release, FURTHER CONFESSIONS OF A SLIGHTLY NEUROTIC HITWOMAN, to be a fun read. Maggie is a fun, slightly neurotic character that has major problems. From hospital bills to going out for chocolate pudding with a mob boss to a family so eccentric, they will leave you in stitches. JB Lynn delivers a fine follow up to Confessions to a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman. The story ebbs and flows like the ocean and within its pages, you find a story so enjoyable, you can’t help but continue to read even as the clock strikes midnight. The author does a great job in conveying Maggie’s issues in being a not so eager hitwoman. I really enjoyed Maggie’s dynamics between her, her family, her potential jobs and more. The story flows swiftly and you find yourself eager to know more after you start this latest story.

Meet Maggie Lee. She is a hitwoman who hates her job. But she needs the money for crippling hospital bills for her niece, her family is driving her nuts and she has this weird power to talk to animals like Dr. Doolittle. Let’s just say Maggie wishes life was a bit quieter. I adored Maggie very much. She is a character you can see meeting for coffee then finding out a local low level crime boss was gunned down the next day in the paper. I loved the way this author leaves it up to the reader to figure things out in the storyline, never giving a definite answer to a few details. If you haven’t read this one, I don’t want to spoil it for you. Ms. Lynn really knows how to create some diverse characters that will surely steal your heart.

Ms. Lynn delivers a fun, lively tale that readers will enjoy immensely. When you finish reading FURTHER CONFESSIONS OF A NEUROTIC HITWOMAN, you can’t help but have a smile on your face. This is truly a feel good story that will leave you giggling as well as smiling in sheer delight. I look forward to more of Maggie Lee and her exploits as a reluctant hitwoman. If you haven’t picked this one up yet, what are you waiting for? Run-don’t walk-and grab this one and then settle in your favorite chair for an afternoon of reading pleasure.
