What's Up With Sarah Cass?

We recently caught up with Sarah Cass and asked her some questions about what we want most to know.  Here's what she had to say!

How would you describe yourself using only five words?

Author. Mother. Wife. Advocate. Dreamer.

If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend that they start with and why?

Hands down, Changing Tracks (Dominion Falls Series #1).  Not just because it’s my only book currently out, but because it’s my favorite. The main characters, Jane and Cole, are very vocal and so much fun to hang out with.

Most people envision an author’s life as being really glamorous. What’s your take on this?

~Snort~  Oh yeah. My life is a dream.  Come on over anytime and see the way I cram 5 people into a tiny house, clean that little house, cart 2 kids to their regular CF checkups, shop for groceries…oh, but wait until one of my kids is mid-hospital stay. Then you REALLY get to see my glamorous life.

But I did just get my hair done…so there’s that.

If you could invite any famous person, dead or alive, for lunch, who would it be and what would you eat?

Hugh Jackman…and I’d eat…~ahem~  *blushes*  Anyhoo…next question?

You’ve gotten the call, a Hollywood producer is going to bring the Dominion Falls Series to the big screen.  Who do you cast in the major roles?

Soooo very glad you asked.  I already have my cast planned – well, my dream cast.

Cole Mitchell would be played by Jasen Wade –

Jane Doe would be played by Dominique McElligott –

Graham Cooke would be played by Michael Chiklis –

David Schaffer would be played by Jason O’Mara –

And Gilbert Hamm i.e. Hammy would be played by Jim Beaver -

What are you working on now? Can you tell us a little about it?

Right now I’m working on edits for my April release – Masked Hearts.  Minnie, a young Shoshone woman that survived the Bear River Massacre, has lived in the white world since the event.  When Roy Ornum becomes an actor in the traveling Wild West Show she’s grown up in, they both must confront their past in order to learn how to trust again.

Blurb:
There’s nothing simple about forgetting your past.

Cole Mitchell runs the busiest saloon and brothel in Dominion Falls. He keeps his women at a distance, unwilling to relive a past he worked hard to forget.

Until the night Jane Doe falls into his saloon bleeding and near death.  She wakes with no memory, only the firm belief someone tried to kill her. In the strange world of amnesia she manages to find solace in Cole’s arms and he finds home in hers.

While they work together to solve the mystery of her appearance, their pasts – her lack of, and his buried – build a barrier between them.

To make matters worse, Jane’s past isn’t willing to let her go. A stranger proves he’ll kill to keep his secrets safe. With those she loves in danger, Jane’s errant memory is all that stands between them and death.  Cole can only do so much to protect her, will it be enough?
