The Latest News On Margie Church

If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend that they start with and why?

Hard as Teak. Discounting whether someone enjoys M/M erotic romance, this book is erotic, poetic, suspenseful and a great love story. I think it shows my ability to take a rather touchy situation and put believability all over it. There are some wonderful supporting characters – Drew got his own book, Krewe Daddy after I wrote Hard as Teak.

If you could be a character in any of your books who would it be and why?

Amy from the Razor series. Although she might seem kind of superficial at first, this woman has an amazing capacity to love, and share what she loves. She's our closet kinkster in the series, exhibiting unabashed joy in discovering what turns her on. Amy is a free-spirit in many ways, but also loyal, caring, sensitive, talented, and smart. If I could set aside my real life and all its obligations, I would have liked to be like Amy.

Looking over the past year, what has been the best moment for you in your writing career?

I had an agent ask for the full on my newest manuscript. No contract yet, but that is very encouraging.

What do you enjoy doing with your spare time, your non-writing time?

I like snowshoeing in the winter, and fishing in the summer. Watching my son perform in Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps. I love going to the opera with my sister and my mom and spending time together shopping and hanging out. I like craft projects, raising roses, watching the stars, riding my bike with my son. I really don't take much time off. Between my job and writing books and my family, I don't even sleep much.

If you could invite any famous person, dead or alive, for lunch, who would it be and what would you eat?

Tiger Woods. The man's golfing skills never ceases to amaze me. His personal issues aside, I'd love to learn about the businessman, the strategist and what it really takes to reach his type of success. What are his dreams and how does he envision his life in twenty years. We'd enjoy a fresh crab salad and sparking water.
