When a member of Tobias and Kyle’s pack is injured by a human looking for a shifter, well things are about to get antsy for the Boston City Pack. Then on top of it all, Melia, the wolf who transformed Kyle into a werewolf is back and now trouble seems to be looming over them. But they can’t figure things out until after they go to Pennsylvania for the semi-annual meeting that all alphas and packs go to. But they find a bigger trouble when Tobias’ past enemy comes and joins forces with Melia. Trouble is looming and with it death. For when a mad wolf goes rogue with a vendetta, death is sure to follow.

Karenna Colcroft delivers another striking story in her paranormal werewolf series that leaves me aching for more. We find out more about pack law and rules, meet some new characters and the head honchos that pack alphas follow. It has humor, suspense, hot steamy sex, tender sex and a love that is still growing between Tobias and Kyle. They are still dealing with pack members who are not  thrilled Tobias’s mate is a man and Kyle has some weird power that has him able to not be under an alpha’s compulsion. Let’s just say when they find their pack member bleeding, injured and more, well they hope it is the least of their issues. The characters are very well written. They continue to grow with each story and I love Kyle to pieces. He is really the only vegan werewolf in the world as far as he knows and frankly his perseverance in sticking to his vegan lifestyle while now a werewolf was admirable even if other wolves/pack members think he is just odd to not eat meat, especially as wolves need more protein and iron in their diet among other things. The characters are flawed, very flawed and it translates into moments where you are left holding your breath as tension mounts. They laugh, cry, smile, grieve and more. Basically act human when they need to which is what I love about this series. They make the story/series so compelling that once I was finished with this one, I needed the next one ASAP.

VEGGIE BURGERS TO GO is a story that continues Tobias and Kyle’s relationship even as they find their footing as a couple and with one another. Kyle has had his life turned upside down in a matter of months and he is still reeling from everything. He may be a happy go lucky guy but as we see in this installment, he has some hidden depths that make the reader ache for him and by extension, for Tobias as well.

Karenna Colcroft is a talented author who knows how to weave a spell around her readers. I know that I jumped a few times when I was interrupted for something by my kids, for that was how deep I was in the story. If you are looking for a story or a series for that matter that leaves you eager for more, concerned about the characters and maybe even a little bit in love with them as well, then you need to get the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat Series. I am eager to see where this author takes Tobias, Kyle and their pack next on this wonderful reading adventure.
