How would you describe yourself using only five words?
A hopeful romantic who
writes
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Reading because I do it
instead of chores.
Barbecue potato chips
because I'm a salty/savory kinda gal.
Lying in bed on a
workday through three snooze alarms not because I'm sleepy, but because I can.
Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
I read Tarot cards. Have
done it professionally as well as for friends.
How do you get yourself in the mood to write?
Since I'm pretty much
always in the mood to write, it's basically just turning on the computer and
sitting down.
If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend that they start with and why?
Why does this feel like
you're asking me which child is my favorite. Eek! Well, I think that I'd have
to say COLLECTOR'S ITEM because I think I've shapeshifted into a paranormal
writer from a pure fantasy writer. My first book, THE FESTIVAL OF THE FLOWERS:
THE COURTESAN AND THE SCHOLAR, was a fantasy romance which gave full rein to my
love of fantasy and worldbuilding. However, building the world for COLLECTOR'S
ITEM was even more enjoyable and challenging. Trying to create an alternative
world like our own but with paranormals living openly among humans was a
fascinating mental exercise. The "what ifs" kept popping out of the
woodwork like demonic whack-a-moles. Now, I find myself returning to that world
over and over again. Hopefully, readers will share that enjoyment in my future
books.

Thank you, LR&M, for having me visit and share some tidbits about myself and Collector's Item. And the timing was perfect since it's being released in all eformats tomorrow by The Wild Rose Press. Thanks again!
Hi! Thank you, LR&M, for letting me visit and share a little bit about myself and Collector's Item.
I loved the world you created in Festival of the Flowers -- so elegant and genteel. This new world is so very different, but equally fascinating. The setting was familiar, but the (shape-shifting) characters very (very) different. Excellent job.
Hi Denise. Loved getting to know you here. Collector's Items sounds fascinating. Best of luck with the release.
Thank you, Leah, for stopping by and sharing such a lovely compliment about my first book, The Festival of the Flowers. While fantasy is my first love, the paranormal was a wonderful place to play.
Hi Barbara! Thanks for commenting and for the good wishes. Fingers crossed.
