I
got to admit the hunky guy on the cover caught my eye as I was looking for
something to read one afternoon and I found Ms. Welfonder’s SEDUCTION OF A
HIGHLAND WARRIOR to fit the bill perfectly. The wonderful setting of the
highlands, the warring clans, strong willed women determined to have peace
among them all was a treat to read. With each flip of the page, I was lost amid
the world where chieftains battle one another, feuds are long known and desire
blazes out of control. The story is fast paced filled with intriguing
characters that had me intrigued as well. The author does a wonderful job in
bringing to life the time of clans and war, set amid the Scottish Highlands. I
haven’t read this author before but after this book, I plan to check out the
other two books in this series next.
Meet
Lady Marjory Mackintosh. She is one determined woman who just wants peace
between the clans and if that means seducing Chieftain Alasdair MacDonald…well
that is what she will do. What a wonderful character Marjory is. Strong yet
compassionate, determined, and I love how she keeps Alasdair on his toes even
as they dance around their attraction. The characters are well written,
multi-dimensional and quite captivating. The author keeps the reader on their
toes as they race along side these two as they dodge danger, falling love and
try to bring peace to their corner of the world. Nothing too hard, right? The
secondary characters are just as intriguing as well and keep the story flowing
smoothly.
SEDUCTION
OF A HIGHLAND WARRIOR
is the final book in the Highland Warrior Series and one I look forward of
reading again. If you enjoy strong characters, fast moving storyline and a
romance that steals your heart then get ready to fall in love with this
author’s wonderful story. I can’t wait to see what else this author has in
store for her readers in the future.
