Outlaw motorcycle club vice president, Cherry Williams, is in big trouble when a simple delivery goes bad and it turns out the delicious one-night stand she had was with a man from the wrong side. Then a blonde hits her with a skateboard. Things don’t improve when Cooper Nolan’s club comes after her as well as her own. The lust between them is intense but their safety is nonexistent and their future about the same.

There’s lots of suspense, drama, action, twists and turns in this story. Ms. Severn says she writes “edge-of-your-seat suspense” and she isn’t exaggerating. Crime, drugs and money are only to be expected with outlaw motorcycle clubs, but this author gives them her own dramatic and unexpected twist.

Both Cherry and Cooper are tough, hardboiled, yet at times sweet and funny. Their characters are individual, unusual and engaging. Their personalities and back stories are well handled and give them depth and layers. Predictably they dig themselves deeper into trouble before blasting their way out. Or not. A couple of the scenes are truly unpredictable and absolutely excellent. A few of the minor characters are real gems as well. I really enjoyed this book and will be looking for more stories from this author.

There were a handful of grammatical errors that should have been caught, but the story was good enough to carry the reader along anyway.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
