Maya Banks is one talented storyteller. She kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time of reading AFTER THE STORM and I fell in love with Donovan so quickly too. The story weaves a spell around you and you can’t help but fall in love with these alpha bad boys determined to bring justice to place/people. I got to admit I haven’t really read this series but after reading this one, I am definitely going to have to check out the early books. I just love alpha males with hearts of gold and Ms. Banks doesn’t stop with just Donovan Kelly. There are more Kelly brothers to devour.
Meet Donovan Kelly. A tough as nails alpha male who has a soft spot for women and children caught in the crossfire of getting justice. He is tough, sexy as sin and is about to meet his match in Eve, the mysterious beauty who has more secrets than the government. But he is drawn to her and vows to protect her even if she can drive him nuts. I love, love, love Donovan and his take charge personality is perfect foil for Eve…that is if she can believe in Donovan and his wish to help her. The characters are well written, kept me glued to the pages and I just fell in love with all of the Kelly brothers who pop up in AFTER THE STORM. Eve is perfect for Donovan and I was rooting for these two all the way through the book.
AFTER THE STORM is one of those books that hook you the moment you start reading and doesn’t let you go until the very end. Even then, you are eager for more. Ms. Banks delivers one wild ride from start to finish in AFTER THE STORM and I can not wait to see what she has next for the KGI characters in the future. If you enjoy a fast paced storyline, intriguing characters and a wild edge of your seat thrill, then you need to grab AFTER THE STORM. Just buckle up and hang on tight. It is going to be one bumpy ride!
