This sweet romance gives us the story of one human detective and one omega that needs saving.  Josh has been working with the werewolves to take down the vampires but when he arrives at the scene of a recent house that has been cleaned out he is amazed to find feral vamps and an omega that attaches himself to Josh. When Cecil sees his mate being attacked he jumps in and defends him but Josh refuses to see what is right in front of his face. He refuses to acknowledge the feelings that are growing between the two and Josh could lose the love of his life before he realizes it.

I enjoyed watching the romance build between Josh and Cecil. With the help of the pack Cecil begins to fit in. Seeing the pack more than willing to protect Cecil was a nice read. Cecil may not be as smart as other omegas but he knows what he feels for Josh. If only Josh would recognize that what they feel is real and more than just a fancy. I loved Josh he may be a human but he proves just what an alpha he truly is when Cecil is threatened.  He is more than ready to fight the vampires and those that are corrupt.  Their love will not be dismissed and watching Josh fight for it makes for a nice read. It was nice to see the pack alphas rally around to protect Cecil until Josh arrives to fight against the vampires for Cecil himself.

This fast paced story grabbed me right from the start and kept my attention all the way to the end.
