This book is a sweet romance about a young man who comes out of the cocoon that he has been living in. Allen has always been loved and safe in the life that he led. All that changes when his lover dies and Allen begins to try and strike out on his own. He has a nice little cupcake shop to keep him busy but when Byron shows up Allen soon sees that he has not truly been living.  They say opposites attract and these two men could not be more different. Will it all be worth the chances they are taking?

  

This fast moving story will pull you into Allen and Byron’s life. I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape. Although seeing Allen open up and blossom with the help and the love of Byron was nice I would have liked to have a bit more of a backstory on both men. When there is trouble and insecurity from Allen’s past it would have been nice to see and hear more from the men in his past. They seemed to be a big presence in the beginning of the story but when Allen has doubts about his past they are not even mentioned. I would have liked to hear what they had to say about the things happening and the things said.

The love between Allen and Byron is strong and stands against everything thrown at it making for a beautiful romance.  The two men are not only a hot couple but one that you can see will always care and have each other’s back.  This story may not have been as developed as I would have liked but I still enjoyed meeting Allen and Byron and seeing their love develop.
