In this Guards of Folsom Novel we get Max and Aiden’s story.
Max has finally gotten his nerve up to ask the gorgeous man behind
the counter out. Aiden is more than a
little surprised that a man like Max would be interested in someone like
him. Yet the sparks that fly between
them cannot be denied. The two find common ground quickly and those sparks soon
turn into something much deeper. Emotions are strong and things need to be
addressed but in the midst of it all Max is called away to help some friends in
need and Aiden has some of his own problems to work out for himself. Will their new found connection be severed or
will it hold strong?
I enjoyed meeting Max and Aiden. I loved seeing what Aiden does to
big bad Max. The two make a great couple. Max and Aiden are both good men and
both are falling hard. It was nice to see their relationship grow and take
shape. Max is patient and loving as he brings Aiden into his world. He is
always ready to help his man as well as push him to explore. Seeing Aiden open up and explore with Max
made for a nice story. As the two men
navigate their relationship their trust and love deepens.
The only drawback in this story for me was Aiden’s good friend.
She is being a good friend and worries about Aiden but sometimes comes off as
just being jealous. Even with this
drawback Aiden and Max’s story is still a good one making this a nice addition
to this series.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
